Default A Real Complaint about Warner Bros.

Having seen in another thread how rdjam on the AVS forum is complaining about new WB releases for HD-DVD being delayed for Blu-Ray (so that BD-J can be implemented) and even going so far as to start a petition to try and get WB to release them to HD-DVD as it's unfair to make them wait...

Well, don't BD users have a similar and more relevant complaint that the lackluster quality of HD-DVD is holding back BD's full potential on WB dual releases? After all, don't they basically take the HD-DVD friendly master and bung it onto BD? And almost every review of WB BD titles say it is "identical" to the HD-DVD one (I wonder why?).

If we were sad and pathetic as the HD-DUD pack, this could warrant a petition to WB... why should BD's full potentital be held back just because HD-DVD?

I hope they have done a seperate blu-ray transfer for THE DEPARTED, but I won't hold my breath.
