Default Black Hawk Down.

I just watched it then on Blu through my PS3 and being displayed on a 37" Toshiba REGZA 1080p screen.

It was all going niceley up till about the last quarter of the film when i noticed, everything was like tinted in green during the night scenes.

Is this normal? I never noticed it on Saw IV.

Stylistic choice to imitate night vision.

These where my thoughts at first, but then it was happening even during scenes with the commanding officer dude who was nowhere near the firefight, so wouldnt of needed night goggles.

Thats a Jerry Bruckheimer thing done for stylistic purposes. It's intentional.

This was my understanding as well.

What a great film, too, IMO.

Can you clarify a bit? The Commanding Officer "dude" was where? In a helicopter by chance? Or was he just sitting in an office somewhere? I ask because I don't remember what you are referring to...

I think he's talking about Sam Shepard's character.

Just watched that scene now. Definitely a stylistic choice. And he did mean Sam Shepard's character, the General.

This is one of my all-time favorite war movies. The scenes you are talking about are a stylistic touch added to simulate night vision.

This happens to be the only war movie I like. Great cast, my fave is Eric Bana's role.

The Hartnett character is kind of weak, but I know what they were going for, and it does stay mostly true to the actual characters and events. I remember tuning in to the news when this happened and seeing such graphic footage, what a clusterf*ck.

This was the first Blu-Ray I ever watched. Me and my brother watched it on his 42" 720p LCD. I was amazed to say the least. It looked much better than the DVD. That was a few days after the PS3 launched. (Which he camped out in the freezing cold for 2 and a half days for.)

I liked how they mixed the SF's & Rangers in the movie. Especially the part where the two soldiers went in to save the helo pilot. Heroic sh*t. Just loved it!!

The two Snipers were awarded the Posthemus Medal of Honor for their heroics. True American Patriots.
