Default Speaker on blu ray player

I was wondering if it would be safe to put my front center speaker on my blu ray layer. Will it really cause damage to the player if its vibrating on top of the player? It doesn't vibrate to much, just little buzzes.

It would not hurt your player unless your center speaker is quite heavy! If you have any apprehension you can can buy some foam and put it under the speaker. You can also buy isolation foam to put under your speaker to isolate it from what it is sitting on!

Isolating material!

Or just type in speaker isolation foam/pads in Google!

Thanks, I've been thinking about some kind of foam but I didn't know anyone actually produced it for speakers.

I wouldn't do it. Speaker vibration will affect the way the head tracks the disc - you will wind up with skips, artifacts, all kinds of nonsense, and it's just not worth it.
