Default Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader to be filmed in Mexico

I'm just glad it's getting made. I thought the box office for Caspian was a bit lower than anticipated (being that it was a sequel). But for me the good news is they are going forward with the third movie.

This was already planned. They probably wont make a 4th. This was originally planned to be filmed back to back with PC and be released next year, but was overruled

7 books, but the 3 being filmed are the only ones that really have all four kids as the main characters at some point or another. The Magician's Nephew would be an interesting film...a prequel.

Filming in Mexico makes sense for this books with all the water scenes and the island scenes that need to take place. Plenty of those along both Mexican coasts.

They should make all seven movies just like Harry Potter. The characters remain the same, right?

Yes and no. They do, but in various stages of life. There would have to be different actors for those various characters. One reason they may not ever do all 7 is the more that the books get into the final battle, etc, the more obviously Christian they become.

Perhaps they will make all 7. Prince Caspian has made $274 thus far (the foreing tally for last weekend not included). The domestic run is over, but the film still has considerable time to make $$$ abroad. However, it is inferior to the first film in all respects.

Dawn Trader could easily be the best movie (sailing adventure, etc).

Some of the other books (The Horse and His Boy and The Final Battle) could be hard to adapt for film.

I think the Magicians Nephew would be amazing as a film, but as the other 2, hard.

That's good news. I was worried that it wouldn't go through as well.
