Default Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo - *possible* release dates?

Disney has just scheduled 3-D theatrical rereleases of several of its movies:

* Beauty and the Beast – January 13, 2012
* Finding Nemo – September 14, 2012
* Monsters, Inc. – January 18, 2013
* The Little Mermaid – September 13, 2013

If their recent Lion King 3D rerelease is any indicator (a two week release before blu release), looks like we could be looking at a Fall 2012 blu release of Nemo and Fall 2013 for Little Mermaid!

It looks very promising. Hopefully official confirmation from Disney will not be far off.
At least confirmation from our Blu-Ray.com mentors would be most welcome.

You would think that Finding Nemo, would already be on blu-ray.

No idea why Disney Studios don't care as much for their live-action catalog to be on Blu-ray compared to their animated feature film shill.
Pixar is an entirely different entity altogether.

I really want this on Blu-Ray too, but at this rate, they might as well hold off until 2014, since that's the 25th anniversary.

2014 !! blu-ray could be dead by then, and all that will be available is a streaming version

I'll go out on a limb and say that most animated films make more than the live action films. Again, just a total guess on my part.

I hope so. My girlfriend has been looking forward to both Nemo and Little Mermaid on blu-ray.

I agree, this is the Diamond Edition I am looking forward to most. I'd be happy if it was released this fall or next spring, but as we all know, those spots are taken already. I'll be SO upset if we are denied a Fall 2013 release! D: It'd be only fair...it'll be eight years, just like every other Diamond Edition released so far.

Besides, the 3D release would most likely put people in a Mermaid mood.... Here's to hoping!
