I don't know I never really got into South Park. I still find old episodes of the Simpson even ones I have seen 15 or so times hilarious. I did not like the first few years of the Simpsons when they had those crude drawings. But for the the best part of 12 years, the Simpsons, has been the funniest show on TV.

Neither. Both shows are rendered (or at least have been for most of their lives) at NTSC resolutions. There is no advantage in porting them to blu-ray, other than the possibility of cramming entire seasons onto one or two discs.

Simpsons. I never bought the seasons on DVD and I refuse to ever buy DVDs again. Its my favorite show ever and I really hope all seasons get released eventually.

While I love the Simpsons, I doubt most of their classic shows would look good in 1080P. The dvds on a big screen reveal lots of flaws in the source material. The recent South Park dvds upconvert better.

Episodes of "South Park" are being revamped in HD for streaming online at the official website so I assume that would make a Blu-ray rollout not quite an impossibility.

If there were an option for Seasons 1-8 of the Simpsons, I'd go for that. I really don't want the later seasons, just not very entertaining.

South Park has mostly been solid since the start (it has had some hiccups).

So on an overall comparison, I'd rewatch South Park more than the Simpsons. Unless you're talking earlier episodes of the Simpsons. I'd rewatch those more than South Park. But a lot of the later Simpsons episodes, I wouldn't want to watch again, much less PAY to watch again.
