At first, I thought it was a comedy spoof, when the guy says "Wait..." But then he didn't make any jokes, so this seems like an interesting continuation of the same theme of disintegration of humans by the Aliens of the Tom Cruise/Fanning War of the Worlds, which was pretty decent.
Of course since we already know what defeats the aliens, this is an unusual choice for a spin off/continuation/side event.

This doesn't look too bad IMO for a lower budget film. Hopefully it's not 90% talking, sneaking, and only 10% Aliens.

If this is anything like 65 (which I just saw)...fast, intense, simple, and a fun ride....The Attack could be just as good.

This reminds me of a side-story that takes place at the same time Tom Cruise was dealing with the Invaders in the US. The same vaporizing/drying effect of the raybeams.
