Default Anyone else buy their Blurays on eBay?

I figured I would search eBay for American Psycho, and I found it for 10 dollars cheaper than most stores. Thats including shipping! Granted it will take a few days to get here...but still.

Anyone else buy new releases on eBay?

Tried it once when I first got into BD. Bought RV for $15 (clearly marked as BD with a picture and all). Guess what I got? The regular DVD. Seller didn't even know what Blu-Ray was.

I wish it was just customs. The bloke sent me the wrong format of what he had listed. I sent it back at my own expense with the promise I'd be reimbursed. No reimbursement. I ended up spending like $25 on a disc I never got. My only bad experience on ebay. I was pissed.

I've seen some good deals but after shipping and customs don't know if its worth it. Its same reason I don't order from Amazon.

I've been burned a few times as both a buyer and seller on eBay and so I gave up on eBay and I have been using Amazon for most of my Blu-ray movie purchases. Prior to the Blu-ray days I purchased all of my SD movies from Fry's on release day. Those were some amazing sales (at times).

I used to be a buyer and seller at eBay.

Then after a few months of not using it or logging in... suddenly somebody managed to take over my account as a third-party seller and added hundreds of 'World of Warcraft' gold items or something. Fortunately, I became aware of it immediately as my e-mail mailbox got filled up with listing notifications.

Then when I talked to the customer service, their tone was incredibly rude and implied that it was my fault for the security breach. Clearly, there was no way I would had contributed to the break-in of my account. Somebody breached eBay's servers and took hold of my account without any authorization.

Sorry, just had to share my bad experience with eBay. It was bad enough that my account got broken in, let alone the idea of being told that it's my fault. Of course, I forceflly told them that I wish to have my account deleted and they tried to convince me to stay with them. Yes, they actually wouldn't let me delete my account at first and had to make another attempt the next day which was successful.

I've always been serious about security especially when my credit card and financial information is involved. The treatment I recieved from eBay was absolutey inexcusable when it was clear that their servers were vulernable to the hackers/thieves at the time of the event.

(shrugs)
