Default Any movies out there Better than CRANK PQ

I have 70 blu-ray discs and I have yet to see a non animated disc beat out crank in PQ.

The quality, crispness, and shine is simply stunning on Crank. Any other disc out there that has this same level.?

Top tier films like casino royal and pirates simply dont even come close to the quality of crank.

Shoot 'Em Up is pretty close. Crank was shot to have that those overdone colors and that "pop." Shoot 'Em Up is the same way.

Default I just watched

Shoot em up 2 days ago.... and No IT dont come close.

The only thing that came close were the EXTRA's in 310 to yuma..... but the actual feature was blured on purpose remove that crispness..

Have your tried Sunshine, Apocalypto, Spider-Man 2, or Spider-Man 3?

Default yah

I own appocalypto, and spiderman 3.

appocalypto is sharp but it ads that blur cinematic effect.

Spiderman is quite crisp but the colors are a bit worse than casino royal.

Maybe I am asking too much, but one of my first discs were crank, and it just felt sureal like an animation.

i also think cranks one of my best regarding PQ, and i also am not into the disney animated thing although they do look pretty cool.
other then crank i have been most impressed with .....
LOST: season 3 ..... probably rate this above crank like earlier poster
Fifth Element Remastered ..... not on cranks level but with how old it is, it gets the most ooo's and ahhh's from people when i throw it in.

other then these i'ld be curious to see what others think as well since usually people only suggest cars or other ANIMATED blu's as reference PQ.

Exactly . . . it was shot to look somewhat unnatural. Most other movies are meant to look real.

I don't know. I thought Crank had really good PQ, but I never thought it was absolutely the best.

Ummm. I know it's not live action, but Cars looks amazing. I think Apocalypto can hold its own with any Blu as well.

I for one do not plan to buy Crank in Blu. Turns out I borrowed a standard DVD of Crank and watched it. Thought is was so-so.

I mentioned this to my son and he said "Dad, we just watched that movie in the theater two months ago". Really? The movie made no impression on me at all! A movie has to have more than a pretty picture. Something close to a plot (unless it is an adult film and then who cares about a plot?).

Even though Spiderman was a cheesy movie, thats what all movies should try and look like. It was almost too detailed at times.

Any movies out there Better than CRANK PQ

I thought it was just called "CRANK"?

Is CRANK PQ the second one?

Mr. Brooks looks better than Crank. Prison Break is very close to Crank's picture quality. Check out recent Fox discs that have been encoded in AVC on a BD-50. Those are likely candidates to help narrow your search.

Crank was filmed with HD cameras.

Crank is nothing special. Just typical sharpened HDCAM look. Not particularly appealing to me. I have lots of better looking discs.

Ah, but to the average Joe, that real-life look is incredible.

I foresee another devolution thread (into caveman-like bickering). Lock it, quick!!!

Ahhhh!!!

I don't think anything about Crank looked real. The contrast and colors were overblown and it looked artificially sharp.
