receiver problem - Blu-ray Forum

Ok guys i have a problem with my marantz sr4001 receiver,when i turn it on the display on it says to check pow5 then goes into protect mode,what does this mean?

I would say you have a speaker wire touching the receiver or something of the sort. Sounds like a short to me! I don't own the receiver, but that is what I would check first.

Nothing is touching the reciever as i checked the back and disconnected and reconnected the banana plugs,still same thing happens.

Looks like you may have to have somebody do some soldering.
