Default Bee Movie being re-released in theaters?

What is up with this? I was looking on Yahoo for movie times and came across several theaters with the listing of Bee Movie starting Wednesday July 23rd. Another had TMNT starting Wednesday August 6th. Surfs Up July 30th. Shrek the Third July 16th. I thought this to be very strange since they are all first run theaters. Even the second run theaters aren't showing these movies any longer. Are they running out of movies? I can't believe that. They are all CG animated movies, I noticed.

My local theater does a Thursday morning family showing where it's all movies that are no longer in theaters. I believe these cost $1 per person. I would assume this is the same thing.

This is interesting as I have never seen this before. I also just noticed they are advertising War Games 25th Anniversay coming soon.

One theater in town does show older movies at Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. This weekend Moulin Rouge.

Fathom events hosts reperatory screenings on behalf of the studio, usually to promote a DVD release. They've done Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, a whole ton of them. It's a satellite feed.

I have a local theater that plays "family movies" as well, usually at 11am or noon.

I would pay $$$ to have my son see cars in theaters. He has only seen it at home about 200 times, but every time we play it he goes crazy. Plus he is only 2.5 so this would be about the only movie he can sit through in the theaters. We recently saw Panda, but we missed the last 15 minutes.
