in DVD XMB, the ability to rip PS1 games, downloadable PS2 games off PSN, the ability to download PSP games off PSN (I'm sure they can make an emulator)
EDIT: that reminds me, external UMD ROM drive, I mean come on SONY it'll help your UMD vid/audio market Last edited by Mikeblu; 07-09-2008 at 07:32 PM. |

There is this little thing called Home that you could bug them about.
As for me, I'd like to see: Automatic shutdown after downloads are complete!!!!! Cross Game Voice Chat In DVD/Blu XMB would be cool Additional Trophy support - would like to see Echochrome and Folding at Home get some specifically, but there are lots of others I'd like to see. I wouldn't mind getting Home either. |

1) Support for NTFS or ext2/3 filesystems (for files > 4 gig on external devices)
2) Ability (somehow) to download album art when ripping CD's (bit clunky to do at moment) 3) Ability to rip (non-copy protected) DVD's (option to convert to AVC) 4) More advanced music sorting/labelling 5) Lots more music visualizations (including just simple album art and prev/now/next track info) 6) Flac support 7) AVI support (yes its Microsoft buts its also very popular) 8) Allow custom RSS feeds on the message ticker thing (so I can have real news rather than playstation news) 9) Native support for torrent downloads (I guess that would be frowned upon) 10) A rechargable remote (why did they not do this - it sucks batteries dry really quickly) 11) The ability to stream from PS3 to other wireless devices such as squeeze box (can it already do this?) I have more but I can't think of any at the moment - for me I want to replace the need to have a PC in the front room - its getting closer. |

1.I wish i could organise my contacts into groups like you can do on msn. For example i would have a blu-ray.com/school/other ..etc
2.When you press PS button to get in game xmb up just to check the time the controller charge picture is over the clock. Not the biggest promblem but kinda annoying waiting. 3.Cross game voice chat. 4.Movie downloads 5.More custimization to the themes. Eg, more fonts, colours, maybe new default icons. (am not keen on trophy icon) 6.More AVATARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! Last edited by blu-dave; 07-10-2008 at 11:58 AM. |

2) That would be nice as well. Currently I jump between CDUniverse and Amazon looking for artwork. 3) Can't see the point considering how few unprotected DVD's there are. 4) Agree to that, though I would expand to all categories (photos, music, videos and games). I'd appreciate being able to reverse the sort order so I don't have to scroll all the way to the Z's or maybe some sort of quick jump feature like the iPod controls on my Sony car stereo. And how about the simple option to sort games by name. 5) Good ideas. 3 visualizations is pretty limited. 6) Some sort of lossless audio support would be good though I'd imagine it would suck up hard drive space quickly. 7) I'm okay with that, maybe add Quicktime support as well, but just don't start asking for all the rest of the geek pirate formats like mkv. 8) Yeah, that news thing is really pretty useless. It seems to lag behind every internet site in news posts. 9) Can't imagine that ever happening. EVER. 10) What are you doing with your remote? My PS3 (and the Bluetooth remote) will celebrate it's 1 year old birthday at the end of the month and I haven't changed the batteries yet. 11) Well, you can already stream to the PSP, but that's about it. It would be nice if Sony introduced some sort of PS3 media extender so you could use the PS3 as something closer to a home theater PC. Or maybe add some sort of system link feature where multiple PS3's on the same LAN would act more like one unit, sharing content seamlessly. My additions would be: 1) Better browser (that wouldn't get the error message about not enough memory) with the latest version of Flash. 2) Partner with TiVo and bring a version of PlayTV to the US using CableCards and OTA so the PS3 can be the ultimate all-in-one media device. 3) Better integration/syncing with the PSP (along with a better version of the PSP including some sort of hard drive or onboard flash memory and wireless G). 4) Bring the PSP's internet radio to the PS3 (or a better version). 5) A PS3 branded Bluetooth keyboard and mouse that retains all of the features of the controller (specifically the PS button). 6) An officially sanctioned IR-to-Bluetooth adapter so universal remotes can be employed to control the PS3. |

i havn't seen this, but it has been discussed.
60hz interpolation. Similar to 120hz with motion enhancing on, but done by the player instead of the tv. This is for people who have those old outdated 60hz HDTVs, it will prevent the 3:2 pulldown and give them a smoother picture. |

-cross game voice and video chat
-cross game invites -screen capture - take a shot or movie of any game screen at any time. -ability to share screen captures with others (currentley there is a limit to attachements is PSN mail..) -Home -gamercards made available via web (for forum sigs) -Playstation.com forum integration with PSN usernames (1 username to rule them all) -User Created Folders for XMb items (friends list, games, music ect.. should be able to create my own folders) -PSN Game Save files - like trophies which are stored on Sony servers and follow your profile, how about saving your game save files onto Sony servers so no matter what PS3 you login too you have your game save files, and if you lose your hard drive no game save files are lost.. maybe put a limit of 20MB on the PSN memory card (copyright pending). |

Better music filing and sorting, a quick option to jump to a letter?
More visualisations - how about some that pull photo's across and do fancy things to them? An option to switch off controllers after a set time limit rather than them being on all the time I'd really like to know how much space each category is taking up, i.e. How much space does my music use? An option under Triangle or System would be great. I'm in the UK and I want official BBC iPlayer support When do we get the movie/tv download service? More fun games that use the eyecam. The only game that makes any real use of it is Burnout. What about all the fun games that the eyetoy had? My kids would love them Jukebox functionality, so you can queue up a few songs to play one after the other, while you're listening. Like a make it up as you go playlist. Home, I suppose but I'm losing interest |
