Has anyone out there tried to play Commercial 3D Bluray discs using the LG GGW-H20L on a PC and been successful?

Generally, drives are *NOT* the issue for BD3D. For full 1080p 3D, you need a software player that supports BD3D, plus the latest video cards with HDMI 1.4 output.
A few HDMI 1.3 cards will output 3D to some 3DTVs, but for maximum compatibility you need an HDMI 1.4 card. (IIRC, those are still very expensive.) However, some software players will play BD3Ds as anaglyph (i.e., cardboard glasses) on any HDTV and HD video card. |
