Default How much of an early adopter were you?

I personally bought my PS3 and HDTV in november of 2007, my first blu-ray was purchased in the same month... So not really that early but I wasn't too sheepish to buy before the death of HD-DUD... I have a friend who has had his PS3 much longer (about 3 months after launch) but waited until HD-DUD was gone to buy any blu... So how much of an early adopter were you? I'd still say buying now counts as the tech is still not "mainstream"

May 2nd 2008...personally why i waited so long was because i didn't want to buy into one and than have the other one win. And i personally was pissed off because half the movies i wanted were on another format and the other half on the other. So when HD-DVD officially lost, i saved up some change and bought a PS3. But i started buying blu-rays in april.

i bought my PS3 in march 07 primarily because i thoroughly enjoyed PS1/PS2, was looking forward to future games, and needed to give my HDTV to some HD use. it came with a blu-ray movie and i got couple more with it, but i didn't really start collecting blu-ray until around july 07 when i felt it was apparent blu-ray would win the format war.

PS3 in July of 2007
Second Blu-Ray player in November

Purchased first Blu-ray with initial PS3 purchase and have continued to buy since. Over 200 I think now, haven't counted in a while.

I got my PS3 and first Blu-ray movies in September 2007. My first HDTV was acquired in May 2007, IIRC. I was going to hold out until Blu's eventual outright victory, but Paramounts acceptance of the bribe made me get off the fence. It was time for me to stop being a passive bystander, and become an active participant in the BD vs HD DVD battle.

That it was my Birthday in September and I had recently started a new job didn't hurt. :-)

I bought my first BD player in september 2007, then sold that and bought a PS3 a couple months after that was release. Now I have 293 Blu Rays and even my new laptop has a Blu Ray Drive. I think I am pretty much classified as an early adopter.

I was here back in the day (last september- I know, forever ago ) when we still had Buy-a-thons in order to get the Neilsen numbers up for Bluray. That's how much of an early adopter I was

Got mine right at ps3s launch. If I remember right, my first blu ray was Tears of the Sun. I'm not sure though. I know I got a couple blu rays when I got my ps3.
