PS3 Greatest Hits & PS3 Platinum Hits?

Seems like one or the other is true, or maybe someone doesnt have their titles correctly listed.

More news from Sony's secret, snobby, PAL-only event in Santa Monica: the region's "Platinum" games range for the PS3 have a release date, as well as pricing info. The first batch of Platinum games will be appearing on August 1, and titles mentioned specifically included MotorStorm, Resistance, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed and Virtua Tennis 3 (with Heavenly Sword and Ratchet & Clank surely there as well). As for pricing, they'll be *deep breath* €30/£20/AUD$50/NZD$60.

So.... They both cant have the same games???

Wonder if one of these are spoofs, or just a mix up of game listings.

I did the conversion rate to US Dollars ... thats like 48.99 ... So , assuming they made it 49.99 or maybe 39.99 to our struggling economy lol. (for the platinum hits as they claim greatest hits will be 29.99)

No they can have the same games its just a diferent system, and that Plat case looks horrible, they need a solid silver case with solid silver strip saying PS3 PLATINUM in black letters

All of those look terrible. HD DVD cases? Just give me the clear cases with a silver "platinum" logo.

I don't much care for the look of HD-DVD cases for my PS3 games. Keep them clear and just add the Greatest Hits designation to the label.

I think it looks horrible, but I've always hated the look of the Greatest Hits games for all of the Playstation system. The color changes on the logo usually look horrible, and it just obnoxiously stand out from any non-GH greatest hits games when one's collection is lined up on a shelf together.

I don't see why they can't just use the same packaging and put a sticker on the outside of the shrink wrap as a standard (they do this sometimes when they have left over stock of the original packaging, but want people to know it's a greatest hit. I'd rather they just do that as a standard across the board rather than as a temporary transition into the newer, crappier packaging).

No I mean different system of choosing wether it gets it or not, PLAT is high sales in PAL territorys and GH is high sales in NA

Don't forget that the dollar is also in the trash compared to other currency right now. That at least partially explains why those prices seem so high to us.
