I have three controllers and two of them one worse then the other have bad analog sticks. by bad I mean they dont move smoothly and feel like they stick. every time I move the analog stick it makes like a low screeching noise. Can I fix this? (without taking the controller apart)

Nope you cant its just usual wear and tear. All I can say is buy a new one and get a dualshock 3 if you dont have already.

call of duty 4 messed up my controllers...nowaday, during gameplay my guy will slow move when hiding...I think analog stick are just build cheap...analog stick should be the main focus of the controller since many games today used them exclusively unlike in the old days where you just keep smashing x and o...

I have the same problem with my sixaxis. If you're still under warranty you could take the trouble to call sony have them replace it. I just bought a dualshock.

I have two, my original one which comes with the PS3 isn't seethrough and works fine, the extra one which came in the deal I bought has a messed up left analog stick, on COD4 it doesn't like to run very well at all.
I've considered taking it apart many times to fix it but I'll probably end up buying a new one at a later date when they're a little cheaper. |

ps1 or ps2 controllers never did this. I even had wireless ps2 controllers by logitec that didnt do this

![]() i've just changed my PS3 controller now, used it hard core since mar 2007, not broken just acting odd, moves on screen when sticks are still. Tiger woods is the culprit, never play games that want you to waggle either... |

I've broken a Logitech PS2 controller before, but never had a PS2 dual shock 2 fail on me (had 4). Ditto for my four SixAxis and one Dual Shock 3. Might be because I rotate controllers constantly so it doesn't put so much wear on each one, or maybe just because I don't yank on the analog sticks very hard.
