Default Buy Terminator 2 now or wait?

One of the Walmarts in my area has Terminator 2 (Blu-ray of course)for only $10! I read somewhere that they will probably release another T2 version soon since this was one of the early Blu releases and it was underwhelming. To those of you who own this version- were you impressed or depressed with this purchase?

(I own it on dvd and it looks all right on the upconverting player so I wonder if it is a good upgrade)

i really dont remember watching it. it was one of the first movies i got a yr ago. but hdd rated it good for the pq and aq. if youre craving to watch it on blu then pick it up, it is only $10 , unless youre on a tight budget. cant go wrong with T2 though.

The UK version is pretty nice, it has the director's cut and lossless audio. You can get it for under $30 shipped on Amazon.uk

T2: Judgment Day (The Director's Cut) is my favorite movie. There are two reasons why I haven't bought T2 yet:
1) The PQ is very disappointing, according to just about everything I've read.
2) This isn't The Director's Cut.
The Director's Cut (or Extended Cut) is available in the UK. The PQ, from what I hear, is an improvement but still not stellar.

Be patient Grasshopper. There will be a better version sooner than you think.

I'd say for $10, you should pick it up. While the release is a bit lacklusters (Not many special features), it's a great movie and the PQ/AQ are good enough that it's a fine release. Besides, I enjoy having just the Theatrical cut on the disc. Makes me hopefully for a better release down the line with the Director's Cut of the flick.

I would wait. I know I am. I have seen this movie so many times that I do not need it until they release the best version possible.

With the new movie coming out next year I would wait. They most likely will re-release all of the Terminator movies again.

I hope someone who gets the UK disc can compare..... the T2 Ultimate Edition DVD contained 3 versions of the movie (I hope the blu will too)
Theatrical Cut.... 136 min. 04 sec.
Special Edition.... 153 min. 02 sec.
Extended Special Edition .... 155 min. 43 sec... only accessible as an Easter-egg by punching in Judgment Day August 29th - 1997 by doing the following....
press 8/enter
press 2/enter
press 9/enter
press 9/enter
press 7/enter
It will then say..... The future is not set , and play the hidden version.
I love having the option of having all existing versions on one disc.

I did not know about a new Terminator movie! Interesting indeed. I may indeed wait to buy.

In my opinion this is a terrible BRD. I'm glad I got it for free with the Walmart PS3/10 BRD last November, cause I would never buy it after having watched it. For such a groundbreaking movie in terms of effects, they left quite the lackluster package on blu. PQ is horrid.

That's nothing. It's actually the cheaper of the two.

This is the other version coming out the same day.
