Wink Battlestar Gattaca..worth getting on blu-ray?

Yes, I know I fudged the title. Just having fun with you guys.
For the record, I think Battlestar Galactica is a great series. Wish I had cable to watch it.

But really, I love a good Sci-fi and I am seeing 5 star reviews for Gattaca on Amazon. While I am certain the story will entertain me, how is it visually? I mean, I expect it to look great on blu-ray, but are special effects fanstastic too?

Yes, I am looking at the on-line review.

Basically, what other movies is it comparable to? Is it "must own" material?

the art direction of the movie is VERY sharp and clean, so I think that helps how good it looks on blu.

honestly love this movie, it's very good sci-fi.

It's decent. I don't need to buy it because I know my best friend will be getting it the day it comes out.

I thought it was mediocre. Not a must own for me, I'll never watch it again.

Gattaca is not your everyday Sci-fi movie. It IS a very good movie, but don't expect lots of special effects, space shots, ect.....It is largely a drama movie with a Sci-Fi backing......It is also a "slower" movie, but is one of my "Highly Recommended".

One of my favorite movies. One of the best scores of all time, and it didn't even get nominated for an Oscar. The PQ was not quite what I was hoping for, but still definitely worth it.
