Madden 09' question - Blu-ray Forum

If Favre gets traded to lets say the Bucs. Will they produce covers with him in the Bucs jersey or will they let the cover be outdated?

He will remain in the green bay jersey because most likely the game is printed up and ready to ship.

BUT...i would bet he will be on the free agent list when you put the game in.
I doubt they would put him on the box without putting him at least on free agency....IF not then a update would put him in the game

Remember one year...mike vick got suspended..there was a update that actually deleted him from the rosters....So if farve isnt in the game out of the box..He will be.

Once again the Madden Curse has lived up to it's name. I didn't think this year it would, but good ol' boy Bret Favre stepped up and made myth into reality once again. lol

It has already been announced that Favre is not on any of the 2008-2009 squads when the game ships, nor will he be in the free agent pool, he is on the Legends team however. They did say the if Favre ends up on a team at a later date, that he would be added to that team in a Roster Update.

ACtually It Was Announce that He Will Be on the "Legends" List and Will be available to pick up via Free Agency

there is little doubt in my mind that if Favre was not on the cover none of this would be happening. he would either have been traded to a contender or be starting for the packers.

its the cover that screwed him over, should have thought twice.

nfl players need to stop being on that cover til at least 5 years after they retire, but even then death looms.

I only watch Sportscenter when my favorite teams win (49ers and Spurs). I also enjoy watching the postgame conferences when the other team loses and see what their reaction is.
