Need help deciding on a movie... - Blu-ray Forum

I can only buy one right now. I'm trying to decide between JFK, 300, Sin City, and Boogie nights.

What would you pick and why?

Sin City, one of my top 50 films of all-time and pretty much a reference blu, both PQ and AQ wise.

300. Why? Cause it's EPIC! Sin City would be my second choice. The other two don't interest me at all.

Its a personal choice. 300 is a favorite of mine.

JFK - i've never seen it so i can't comment on it

300 - depending on the price, i still wouldn't buy it. if you like having characters, writing, decent dialogue and a story, then avoid 300 it's a good action movie, but little else IMO

Sin City a great, great film. but i personally couldn't watch it alot after watching it twice. it's in black and white but heard it looks phenomenal

Boogie Nights - i absolutely LOVE this movie. it's a dialogue heavy film, so if your a fan of QT, you'll probably be happy with this. great cast, great writing and very entertaining even though it isn't an action film (it's a drama about the porno business). was a great blind buy for me.

so my choice is obviously Boogie Nights

SIN CITY-- not only is it a great movie, but the blu-ray PQ is top drawer as well!

Sin city, the PQ is amazing and it's a great movie, Make 300 you next purchase after though becuase that movie is quite Epic as well.

Out of that list of movies...hands down for "Boogie Nights" I can imagine that you'll watch it much more often than you would any of those other films...Buy "Boogie" and rent the rest...that's my opinion

Very true, both PQ and AQ are fantastic. Definitely worthy to be added to any collection.
