yea im wondering where can i buy BR movies for cheap w/o the internet, does Bestbuy and Circuit City ever have day of release special for like $24.99 instead of $34.99?

BTW EBGames/Gamestop have Used BR Movies For Cheap(17.99) if you guys didnt know.

and im asking because im not really an online shopper, since i dont like the whole 3business day shipping and all that(I want my movies when i buy them not days later)

Good thread. There are times where you just want to buy something and knowing that you have it right there in ur hands. We should keep our eyes open and post reports in this thread of sales at actual stores. Im sure sometimes it wont be advertised. Nice to find out. I'd like to pick up Marine and Departed on Tues. Didnt want to do the online thing either for this one. Call this an impulse buy. i guess stores to look into are Sears, Best Buy. Fry's , Target, Wal-Mart, Circuit City. Maybe a Wherehouse or Fye.

BTW i checked out a few ebgames and gamestop. All they had were new releases and tons of the Taledega nights from the PS3 for used price.

Normally i almost never see 34.99 movies at the stores. Bestbuy I think sells new releases for 27.99 or at least the one i have been buying have been that much.

i would say 97% of my BestBuy's selection is 24.99.

Amazon seems to have a large portion (75%?) for 19.99 as well.

I have seen myself that Best Buy sells plenty of Blu-ray movies for 34.99. Kingdom of Heaven and Fanatastic Four are two I distinctly remember selling for 34.99. This is why I exclusively buy online.

Fox titles are $34.99 at Best Buy. But I believe Circuit City has some titles a wee bit cheaper. But I try Walmart first. I got Pearl Harbor for $24 there when it was $29.99 everywhere else. I also got Superman Returns on HD-DVD there for $19.99 instead of $34.99 (THAT was a steal/mistake on their part) Target's prices are comparable to Walmart.

The store I work at, Moviestop (which is part of the Gamestop corp), has them from 19.99-28.99 generally. I'm not sure how many there are around the country though. I know the south east has them.

Yes. This is where I made a purchase of both formats from that MovieStop more than any stores or online that I had made purchase torward both formats. Lowest price of HD movies at MovieStop are Scooby-Doo at 18.99 on both formats.

I think it's going to be $29.99 everywhere, including Target. Only place i've heard cheaper is wal-mart for $24.96, and Amazon.com

I'm in Iowa. I went to get it before lunch, instead of after...and good thing I did or else I probably would not have gotten it today. They got 10 Blu-ray's of the departed, and I got the last one at 11:30. They have their blu-ray's and HD-DVD's in the new release movie section.
