Someone on another forum emailed the head of Team Ninja about a patch for trophy support for NG:S. Unfortunately the email he got in return said they will not be doing a patch.
HOWEVER, in that same email it stated there WILL be trophy support in NG II. Heres the email: Quote:
I would say yes. Thoughts? |

I would say yes, as well. I sure do hope so, because I am a pretty big fan of the NG series, and a sequel on the PS3 would be astounding. I'm not going to get my hopes up though that this game will even be announced for another 4 months, but I'm hoping for something sooner!!

Let me just say that Ive played this for the 360....and the game is absolutely sick. There's just something about hacking off body parts I enjoy. Not to mention leveling up the weapons that are already bring mayhem.

NG2 is one of my favorite games. I hope it comes to the PS3 just so it can sell even more and lets hope for NG3

I have also played it for the 360. I would agree that there is a certain high you get from slashing away the enemies and doing terrifying obliteration moves on them. Putting this on the PS3 would just make this even better. I can't get enough of the dragon sword or the pike.

you wouldn't agree that it seems a little fishy that the producer at team ninja responded so discriptive about his ninja game instead of the always "nothing is planned at this time" emails that everyone else seems to get. sorry for not being optimistic but it's the way i precieve this.

I wasn't aware that Yosuke Hayashi had much command of English. For those who don't know who he is, he was the project lead for Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
No one knows what he's working on at Tecmo these days, but while I'm skeptical of the "response", a few things to come to mind... (1) Itagaki, creator of Ninja Gaiden II, and several members of Team Ninja, have now departed Tecmo and have filed suit against the company. This leaves a power vacuum and puts one of Tecmo's more prominent franchises in serious jeopardy unless they can pull the pieces back together. (2) Hayashi's work was on Sigma was strongly criticized by Itagaki just prior to his departure from Tecmo. Having played the Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox, as well as NG: Black, and compared them against Ninja Gaiden Sigma, I personally found NGS to be a smoother, slicker presentation, and while I have not yet had the pleasure to play NG2 on the Xbox 360, people I've spoken to who have played all of the above indicate that while NG2 is indeed a good game, it suffers from some technical flaws that make NGS the more polished product. (3) Hence, who else would Tecmo put in charge of the Ninja Gaiden franchise at this point? |

Some of them left, but Team Ninja is still there. Itagaki's lawsuits are over his salary, not IP. And, of course Itagaki criticized NGS; he's a Microsoft shill. WHat Hayashi's working on now is anyone's guess.
As far as Hayashi's English goes, looks to me he does alright, but little faults are still there, "we cannot patch trophy system into NINJA GAIDEN Sigma". |

The only reason why I say no is because I thought MS published the actual game. meaning they couldn't port it even if they wanted to. Now MS didn't buy the IP so the next NG in the series (not part 2) would be a multiplat more than likely.
