Default Best 32" 1080p, is 120Hz important?

I've been looking around for a nice bedroom 32" model. I can't seem to find the perfect one. I look at how some people say how great 120Hz is and others it doesn't matter. Then again, I keep finding conflicting reports of which 32" have 120Hz. I thought I'd ask you all instead.

TV's I'm considering (Very Open to new suggestions!!)

Sony KDL-32XBR6
Samsung LN32A650
LG 32LG60?

Thanks!

Nor would he have to worry about 1080p at that size either.

720P for 32" is probably sufficient, unless you watch your TV from like 2 feet

If you're looking to get an LCD, i recommend mine. 32", 120hz, 1080p input, 8500:1 contrast, and under a grand at most stores..... Best bang for the buck IMO as far 32".

I just set up my friends Samsung LN32550 and calibrated it with professional settings. It looks fantastic. I've always had great luck with Samsung's products. I'd say if you sit around four feet from it, like my friend does, 1080p will make a difference.

I think the best 32" out there is the Sharp LC32D64U 1080p.
It passes both 3:2 and deinterlacing tests when HDMI is used along with Advanced Film Mode set to on.

You should be able to find it online for under a thousand bucks.

i had a 32 inch 1080p Samsung, Researching around i found that although it looks better since the size of picture is small. Sure you can go buy the Son Kdl32xbr6 for 1200 if you want 120. but i returned my Sam Ln32a650 and bought a PanTH-42PZ80U today for 1200 and i think it is a much better tv.
so dont waist your money...I speak from experience

That's absolutely incorrect - it completely depends on your viewing distance.

This whole "1080p isn't important until x" screen size" is totally false. 1080p can be important on a 24" monitor and useless on a 120" screen, all depending upon where you're sitting.

120hz makes film (movies) look like video. I hate the effect. No changing of the settings, or removing of frame enhancement changes this. I have viewed multiple manufacturers of 120hz machines, played with the settings on all, and come to the same conclusion.

32' 1080p is only good if you are sitting less than 4ft. you should save the extra $500 if you are sitting further back

I am a big fan of Panasonic lcds...all two of them. I have the 32" model and I love it...Consumer Reports seems to agree. The 37" is 1080p and the 32" is 720p.

120hz Automotion makes me want to abuse myself...it's a gimmick and I think it gives people diarrhea...although the latest studies have yet to confirm.

Panasonic TC-32LX700 4 Life!

I watched this dude calibrate a Panasonic plasma at Best Buy the other day...and 'dark and dull' are the only words to describe it. So....*shrug*
