We just got in a BUNCH of these free Hancock Blu-ray's to give out next week. You have to buy a certain Blu-ray from a list to get it for free. I don't know which titles are on the list but I'm sure Men in Black is one of them. This disc is a preview of the movie. I think this is the first time I've seen one of these preview discs be in Blu-ray format. Pretty cool....

I want this disc, probably will get it on eBay, if the price is right. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised to see this for $20 buy it now. Of course, I won't pay that much for it.

Really? I spent 45.00 on cliverfield... 20 bucks is insanely cheap.

This is just a preview disc. Probably a few scenes, a fluff documentary and some trailers

Yes, Best Buy's been giving out "sneak peek" theater-hype DVD promos for years--
(It's called the hard-sell, and to put it tactfully, hoo-boy, does this movie need it.)

Particularly as Sony has never been on the forefront of licensing movies for Blu-ray one month before they hit theaters...

yeah i remember back when they did that with Spider-Man 3 before it came out to theaters and i got Underworld Evolution and it came with the sneak peek to Spider-Man 3 disc and even though i enjoyed the movie but i cant even give it away so im going to pass and not get this one as well

What could they be putting on this Hancock promotional BD besides some EPK "HBO First Look" style fluff and trailers? Will there be any exclusive content one can't already see on the Internet at sites like Apple's movie trailer park, Playstation Network, IGN, etc.?

i doubt it its probably just stuff you can find on the internet but in hd and on a blu-ray disc

These are great for replacing damaged cases.

My Best Buy usually doesn't care if you buy whatever you're supposed to buy to get stuff like this but maybe they are going to finally "get the memo" and stop handing out the stuff that is only free with purchase of something else.

Word on the street is that this movie is definately the end of "Big Willy Weekend"

Shame too

I dont think they're worried about an overall bomb though- Will Smith plays very well internationally

The Spider-man 3 Blu-ray preview garnered big bucks on eBay when it showed up at Best Buy. I ended up with 4 copies and sold 3 on eBay for over $20 each. I guess people were very curious about the film. I doubt that will happen this time but who knows? I still keep mine as a collector's item and will probably pick up my "Hancock" preview disc as well.

So i went and got a few movies at their 2 for $30 sale and picked up the Hancock sneak peak disc. thought id share for those who are curious. There seems to be some sort of BD-Live functionality on the disc but its not working right now. It has about 10 different trailers for upcoming and currently out sony movies. All are in BD quality with an AVC encode. bits hover around 30mbps and have 640kbps DD. Where as the trailers on PSN are not near that high have have 2ch 128 kbps sound ususally. So overall its pretty nice. for free. definitely gives a good idea on how those movies will look in blu-ray. which is very nice.

Which one should I take? The Hancock Preview Disc from Best Buy? Or the $7.50 Movie money from Circuit City? The movie would be $20 due to price-matching either way.

I second this motion. I love movie trailers but Sony has a tendency to push the same predictable ones over and over.
