According to this from Comic Con. DC is deciding to kill off Bruce Wayne and pass the torch to somebody else. WTF!!!!

I'm not too knowledgeable about the comics.

For nostalgia's sake, it should be Burt Ward.

I like the Batman: Beyond angle. Start going into the near future and have an aging Bruce Wayne start training a replacement.

with all the useless batman and TDK threads as of late, WHO CARES!!!

just my feeling about it. Some guy comes on here and starts a rumor and pages later people are still arguing it and the OP hasnt posted back. Makes us look like a bunch of idiots(I am talking about the TDK on bluray only thread)

Wow, if they are considering to do that, then I see another Superman Doomsday fiasco. Killing off a character with so much history doesn't go over to well with the comic fans.

This will be a temporary situation of course. Batman is Bruce Wayne and always will be. Did anyone think Doomsday really killed me...uhhh Superman permanently? It will probably last nine to twelve months so they can run with the idea in the entire DC line. The status quo will eventually come back.

The best bet to replace Bruce Wayne is Richard Grayson, the original Robin and currently Nightwing. They already had a replacement be Batman when Bane broke Bruce Wayne's back in the 90's.

They did try this before in the Kinghtfall story line when Bane broke Batman back and was replace by another person in the Bat costume.

Bruce Wayne will alway be Batman.

he'll back in a month or two. dc can't keep it's characters dead for long. even it's major ones. they don't have the balls. now marvel certainly does. at least marvel keeps it characters dead for a good long while. captain america has been been dead for over a year now. it's why dc lags so far behind in the comics worlds. if you can't play with the big dogs stay on the porch. though i will admit their 52 was pretty freaking awesome.
