I hate to say no. Most likely maybe late in the year or early next year. Since HD-DVD going down, Paramount will most likely put the film from HD out on blu-ray first along with all with all there new releases. It's going to be a waiting game.

I'm ready. Hope they put it out by year end but would rather not wait that long.

I would love this title. Hopefully, it won't be too long as this was one of Paramount's first DVD releases wasn't it?

Hmm but which version will they put out on Blu when it finally comes, Original Theatrical or the Redux Version, or could we get lucky enough to have seamless branching on em? Does anyone prefer the Redux over the Theatrical?

Well, I think one of the best movies ever made surely deserves the Blu-ray treatment...

Yeah, this is a must buy for me when released. Definitely going to be demo material, and by word of mouth it will crack the top ten list too.

The "Complete Dossier" version, or whatever it was they called it, with Heart of Darkness as an extra on a second disc

I considered starting this thread last week. This is an all time classic, and I will buy it the moment it is available.

The original is one of one my top 10 favorites so I bought it again (vhs, laser disk and dvd). It was the new Redux version this time around and I must say it sucked. You can't come back 20 years later and add complete new sections to a film and not expect it to have a different feel. I would have liked Francis to have taken all the new stuff and made a companion flick to the original. I can't wait to get this on blu in the original format. If you've never seen the film before then you might like the Redux version but any fan who has seen it a few times would most likely prefer the theatrical cut. I felt the same way with "1941" - all the additional scenes bogged down the film and totally changed it.

I agree, also bought it in those 3 formats. "Redux" felt more like "Mash" (the film not the series). Can't wait to get in blu (original release)

Default Original Version

I agree with some here in the forum; the original version is by far my favorite. I think it may be on my top 1 list.

As soon as someone gets wind of a release date please post in this thread.
