Default Where's the 7.1?

So what is the main reason that 98% of new movies aren't coming out in 7.1 audio?
I mean there were a lot more 7.1 audio formats for HD DVD than there is for Blu-Ray.
It’s kind of a waste to have this technology in the Blu-Ray player, receiver and so on if it doesn’t get used. Any info you have or comments you have is greatly appreciated.

HD-DVD had more 7.1 surround titles than Blu-ray?

I'd like to see a list of 7.1 HD-DVD titles to back up that claim.
