Looks like amazon got swamped again!! - Blu-ray Forum

I pre ordered The hunt for red October, Patriot Games. & Clear and present danger from amazon, and red october, and patriot games have shipped.Clear and present danger is still classed as "not yet shipped", and the item page says "in stock Aug 29th". I swear, these problems are getting more and more frequent with amazon.

EDIT: Looks like www.deepdiscount.com has the same problem. This may be a distribution problem with this title.

I ordered Clear and Present Danger along with the Tiger Blade and both are out of stock

Amazon really needs to get their releases stocked enough for their pre orders.

I cancelled my order and am going over to Circuit city. Their add has all of the Jack Ryans for $19.99 the same as amazon.

The Circuit City stores I've been in are very hit and miss on catalog BD titles. My local store still hasn't received the Mummy movies that were advertised for $19.99 last week.

Just noticed Best Buy's website has Top Gun for $18.99. It is probably an online only price, but do in-store pickup and take advantage.

I too have noticed a few problems with amazon lately. There has been tracking problems and info problems. However, my purchases have not been effected.

Maybe this is why my stuff is taking forever to ship. I ordered Black Hawk Down (Blu), The Long Halloween Absolute Edition (Batman GN) & Batman: Haunted Knight a 1 1/2 weeks ago and they've still have not shipped (ALL WERE SHOWN TO BE IN STOCK?). Just yesterday it changed to "shipping soon" so fingers crossed. Normally Amazon is amazing about getting me my orders a.s.a.p. (like 3 days from when I ordered) and I live in Mississauga, Canada.

Personally, I think there is a curse attached to the Jack Ryan Collection. It came out on HD DVD but then got pulled because the box said there were extras and the discs didn't have any. Several months later, it was to come out again on HD DVD but then the format war ended and the title got cancelled. Now it is supposed to be out on Blu and yet where is it?

Funny side story:

I was able to get my hands on the recalled Jack Ryan HD DVD set last fall.

I figured I'd unload them now that I am getting the BD's. I thought I'd be lucky to recoup the $70 I paid.

Just got almost $200 for them.

I guess all my releases today are on the buyer.

Still it makes no sense. I would think it would be better to redirect that money towards buying a BD player.

This is happening with everyone. I suggest just ordering on bestbuy.com
