Default BD30 - setup menu on power-on

I have owned my BD30 for a week or so and thus far am very pleased with it. However when I power it on it gives me a setup menu every time, which I find odd. I can easily press return a few times as it seems to save the last choices, but it asks me language, screen ratio, etc. Is this normal? thanks

Smile Bd-30 Menu/turn On

Yes, the menu appearance at turn on is normal if you use the "power" button.
If you use the "open Disc Tray" button on the right, the unit will power on and will open the tray and be in the "play disc" mode.

I only use the "power" button to turn the unit off.

By the way, you are going to love this player: it is as reliable as a stone and very fast.
