Default Any making home video BD's?

Anyone recording and making home videos into Blu-Ray? I figure it still may be a bit too expensive to do something like this for fun, but just wondering if anyone is actually doing this.

I just did a quick search and it looks like the cheapest BD camcorder I could find will run you about $800 after tax and all with most models being over $1k. I agree that once you factor in the cost of media this is going to be a pretty pricey proposition for the average person right now just for home videos. But with any luck someone like Paris Hilton's boyfriend would have something like that though...

I've been shooting home movies of my daughter for almost 2 years now on 1080i high def tape. When burners and blank discs come down in price, I'll burn them to BDs.
