Comcast mulling Blu-ray purchases after VOD fun is over? - Blu-ray Forum

Looks like Comcast isn't as gung-ho about VOD overtaking Blu-ray as some have thought. Mikemorel will be sooooo upset.

Sounds like a no hassle, worry free way to order a movie after someone just watched a movie On Demand and decided that they wanted to own it. You should be happy that they are thinking about offering the consumer the option instead of criticizing them.

try the movie before you buy.... not a bad idea.. but they need a cheap price too.

It's got to be tough living in an alternate universe where Blu-ray is getting killed by nonexistant technologies (SRT in DVD players) and technologies not marketed as ownership models (VOD).

Don't bet on a cheap price... at best, maybe MSRP minus the cost of the VOD rental. They're selling convenience -- they'll rob you blind on price.
