What is LEAST EXPENSIVE BLU-RAY PLAYER?

Hey guys. I was out shopping and was wondering what is the lowest price for a blu-ray player out there now?

I bought my new in the box S300(sony) from ebay for right under $200. works great so far

Amazon has the Sony S300 for $180 after $50 instant rebate with purchase of Warner Brothers BDs.

There was a post where Radio Shack had the bd-p1500 for $200. Might just be online though.

If you want a decent BD Player, go for the Samsung 1500. Just bought it last Friday. Can't complain. Load time is good, good menu, easy to navigate.

You can get the Panasonic BD-30 for $259 this weekend at Frys.
Great PQ & support.

The Insigna price looks tempting but not sure about their support on FW updates(if needed).

Both are Profile 1.1 instead of 1.0 like the Sony BDP-S300.
The BDP-S300 is also a very slow loading beast.

oh, i got the players confused i went and looked at mine and i have a BD300, or i think thats what it's called. But it's from sony

You are not an idiot, the "1" just means you bought it at Costco and got a free HDMI cable.

300 and 301 are the same player.

Hope you have the latest firmware.

4.20 gives us TrueHD sound. (just set the main out to PCM)
