June 6th: Saving Private Ryan
July 4th: Born on the Fourth of July
October 3rd: Black Hawk Down
October 31st: Halloween (1978)
December 24: Either A Christmas Carol (1951) or It's a Wonderful Life

I used to watch Buckaroo Banzai every Christmas, but after so many years, any film gets old if you watch it that often, so, no.

Television does a fine job of playing all the Christmas classics during December, but there's one classic for me that they never play on tv: The Ref. My parents and I love this movie and have made it a Christmas tradition every year for the past 5-6 years now. Planes, Trains and Automobiles every Thanksgiving, of course. As for Halloween, I go to the theaters and see all the horror classics on the big screen. This month one theater is doing Stephen King adaptations. If it's within my power regarding work schedule, I'm def. gonna see The Shining, Christine, and Stand By Me.

As a child I used to watch Fantasia whenever it thunderstormed. Can't give you a reason why.

As long as you watch it ONLY once a year, I don't find really great movies to grow old with many viewings.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles comes off the shelf every single Thanksgiving.

That's about it, though.

Groundhog Day: Groundhog Day
July 4: Independence Day
November 5: V for Vendetta
Thanksgiving: Miracle on 34th Street

Everything else is pretty fluid or watched every year during a certain time period (rather than a specific day).

I always try to watch at least a couple Jason movies whenever there's a Friday the 13th.

Jaws I'll watch any time of year but usually give a special watch on the 4th of July.

Halloween on October 31. Halloween 2000 was great, as I stayed up the entire night watching all seven.

Christmas Eve is always A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott. I think I've watched it every Christmas Eve since about 1989.

4th of July - I try to do Jaws or Top Gun

Halloween - Halloween, Halloween III, and/or Halloween 4

On the 23rd day of the month of September - I try to do Little Shop of Horrors

Friday the 13th - Anything from that series

Thanksgiving - Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Christmas - Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, A Christmas Story, and/or Empire Strikes Back

If there's a particularly hot summer night and I'm just sitting around, I like 12 Angry Men.

I try not to watch the same stuff all the time so usually it's something from the above titles and I'll alternate year to year.

When my father was still alive, he and I would watch Gettysburg sometime over July 1st -- 3rd every year. The Battle of Gettysburg took place of July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I haven't watched it quite as regularly since my father died, although I've been thinking it's time to start again.

Thanks to TCM, I try to watch the Thin Man movies around Christmas or New Years each year.

Also starting with my father, we would watch A Christmas Story at least once sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas (not counting the TBS and/or TNT 24 hour marathon).

We would also watch Ernest Saves Christmas around Christmas too. (Excellent Christmas movie, it's a shame it has yet to arrive on blu-ray.)

The Shop Around the Corner and Meet Me in St. Louis, on December 22nd/23rd and 23rd/24th respectively. I watch a lot of Old Hollywood in general during the Holidays but not necessarily on the same date each year - Astaire/Rogers and the prime Busby Berkeley films in particular.
