I dont know of anything specific, but when I did a search, Monster, CareerBuilder ect, where helpful. There are also a few focused on the computer\tech industry, I just cant remember the names now.

I had the best luck though, but going directly to company's websites and applying through there. Thats how I got my current job, I just kept applying to companies directly.

I also had good luck with my school, they helped me fix up my resume and then sent my resume out to companies for me. I got a few hits off of that as well, but nothing that really sparked my interest. You might want to see if your school offers a program like that, they have a lot of contacts and may be able to get your resume seen more quickly and by the right people. Your school will also have its rep behind the resume.

Good luck though, its a tough market right now, I am VERY thankful for the job I have and the I have been able to keep it. The IT market where I live is in the crapper right now.

I am not from that particular area, but would also suggest to check Monster and CareerBuilder as well as some local listings or even newspapers.

We just recently hired someone through Craigslist. I know there is a lot of "fishy" stuff going on there, but hey, worked out for us!

Good luck job hunting!

tough market right now.

Most of the big companies are on hiring freeze or downsizing.

So, good luck.. I know, I was there and I just graduated this June with my masters.

careerbuilder is a pretty good location to find, much better than monster in my opinion. at least for finance-related jobs, recruiters on careerbuilders actually do call you. (i got called many times)

Also, applying directly to company website works too.. yea, they are a little slow and it seems that they may never reply to you.. but I got my current job TWO months after I applied. (I applied early before I graduated)

Congrats on graduating.....

I recommend also that you try:

dice.com (like monster and careerbuilder but for tech jobs)
craigslist

dice holds some pretty good tech job fairs, usually in LA and anaheim. Sign up on their site, and they'll let you know when they have them. I got my current job this way.

Good Hunting

I know it will never happen but I got this fantasy that I was hired by Pixar.
I love what they do and I love CGI so yeah I stand there. But it won't happen

While monster.com eventually helped me find my job, I got the most notice by hitting the streets.

My father took me to downtown, and I in my suit and handful of resumes stopped at businesses and handed them out. One guy called me because he said that is the kind of initiative they like to see. In this tough market, if you don't try to stand out you will not.

Mailing a resume also works because now you are a piece of paper on the desk and not lost in the sea of e-mails. But if they prefer e-mail that is how you send it. A follow-up paper resume could not hurt if you really think you are suited for the job.

Go to Staples, buy a box of nice white 24 lb resume paper with some cotton content. I think Strathmore is the name, or something like that. Now your resume will look and FEEL great.

It's work finding work.

Excellent advice here. Dice.com has some good jobs that aren't listed on monster or careerbuilder. Not as much crap to weed through either.

Best of luck to you.
