PowerDVD 7 Stopped Playing Blu-Ray - Blu-ray Forum

I have the Dell XPS 720 running with Vista. PowerDVD DX came with my computer. (I assume DX is deluxe version?)

I have version 7.0.3521.

I have been playing blu-ray discs fine up to this point. I don't know what happened. (Although, my PowerDVD has always brought me to the "critical update" screen even though there were no updates available.)

I checked with the free BD Advisor program and I got all green lights that everything is working.

DVDs work fine, but blu-ray discs just bring me to this screen:

What's going on?

This is because the AACS key is updated which means the player will need to get an upgrade build via internet to watch the BD Movies. AACS key is a content protection mechanism for BD Movie and it may be updated if any old key is hacked or expired.
BD Advisor program simply checked your system HW requirement and if video codec for BD is ready but it cannot validate the AACS key.
You could click "Online Update" and try downloading the new build.
7.0.3521 is released by end of 2007 and it needs to be updated

I see you caught me on the other forum hehe. Might as well post both of my replies here as well.

"Wow, I understood most of that. By online update do you mean the update that it keeps warning me about? Cause whenever I click update it does nothing after it searches for an update. Where can I go to manually download this update?"

That seems like it would be the solution, but it's just odd that my blu-ray movies were working before, and suddenly it just stopped and would just bring me to that screen. I only use my PC for movies and games so I haven't made any changes that could be the cause of this.
