Help. Games Not Showing Up. Simple Solution - Blu-ray Forum

ok so i just watched a movie...and now i threw a game in to play and now the game is not showing up under games....whats the problem!!>!!>!>!> i never encountered this in a year. hmm..im not getting a disk error or anything. games and blu rays not working either. i just watched a movie 3 min ago

someone please help

Did you try popping in cd/game/movie?...if so and the icon showing that its reading the disk shows for a while with no luck i'm afraid your ps3 just died...that happend to me...

and i dont have my reciept and they want 149.00....im so heated right now. can people look on their receipts and tell me if there is a serial number or anything?

receipts dont show serial #'s. Where did you buy it? They should be able to look it up. Serial # is on back of PS3.

My friend's PS3's network adaptor went out, and they wanted $149 to fix everything. He was like eff that and just only uses it for a BD player and the occasional Ninja Gaiden.

My PS3 was a gift, and the giver also bought a 3 year warranty, although I have no idea how that works (it was bought through Wal Mart).

All that aside, sorry about your PS3!

try reformatting the drive, sometimes it's just a software error that disguises itself as a hardware error.

If you have anything downloaded you should save it on another drive.

Mine has done this a couple of times but after I restarted it was fine. Here goes with the obvious anyways.... have you tried a restart?

i called target couldnt look up the ps3 by the seriel number...i have not reformatted yet cuz it said 2 hours...i will do that now. and yes i restarted and waited overnight

Try looking for a copy of your credit card if you baught it with one...i couldn't find my receipt but i used the list of transactions that i bought the ps3 with and printed it out....sony isn't too anal about finding the exact receipt...hope it helps...

Target can look up it by credit card number.

i paid cash. it was the day after our wedding reception haha. i never use cash. this is the one time.

Hmmm my Walmart receipt for shows the serial #. On second thought this is probably only because I bought a warranty with it.
