Question digital converter box for over the air channels

I just purchased a Panasonic 42" 800u plasma tv. it has the built-in tuner. My grandmother already has a basic digital box with rabbit ears connected to it. the only input/output options are Coax and composite... am i going to need a special kind of digital converter box that has HDMI/component?

converter boxes with HDMI/component are not eligible for the govt. coupons. Why would you need the converter box for your panasonic, it already has the tuner built in. Does your grandmother have a HDMI tv that she needs a different style of input? Not quite sure what your question is asking. If you are asking about OTA channels on your panasonic tv, just attach an antenna to the antenna in coax input on the back of the tv and enjoy, no need for a converter box.
