if you pre order something a month or so in advance does it usually get there the day of release?

Its based on the shipping method and how close you are to the shipping facility not the date you pre-order.

I live close to an Amazon shipping facility and order 2-Day shipping (free w/ Prime) and it comes to me day of release. This works for me even if I order it 3 days in advance.

The free shipping method.....well I have had them come weeks later

i dont use amazon but a lot of people i know say they never get the films on the release date they always recieve a email saying it will be delayed for up to 2 weeks

I would depend on the shipping method you pick. I use 2-day (Amazon Prime) so most (90%+) of my pre-order show up on the release day. The others are the day after release.

Standard shipping should get you the title by that Friday for the most part

if you live in the uk i would recommend www.dvdslimited.com sametimes they cost about a £1 or 2 more but you always get the films two weeks before the release date
