Do you connect the pre amp to your recievers out? Then control the volume with the pre amp? I want better amplification with a taste of tube, while still being able to retain my recievers Silent cinema DSP. (headphones)

Does your preamp have a HT bypass option? If it doesn't, then you wouldn't want to connect to your receivers outs, but instead would want either two separate systems where you have to plug and unplug depending on what's being used, or an RCA switcher that runs about $160.
