Default New Harry Potter movie moved to July 17, 2009!

Didn't see this posted yet, but Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince was moved from November to July 17, 2009. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26205933/

This absolutely pisses me off. I just read this on another site and I am furious! They probably dont need any more big time income this year because of The Dark Knight success so they wanted to push this back to 2009. What a bunch of horses**t

Yeah, it sucks because now it will push back the release dates for the final 2 movies. I suppose it's better if there were problems with the movie and the later release date will make a better movie.

man, my wife is going to be pissed...and it sounds like they're only doing it because they think they can rake in more cash.

They said that it wont push back the start of the final two movies... those are still on track to premier when they are supposed too

It looks like they didn't have any "big" movies ready for next summer. I still wish the movie was coming out this fall.

Maybe Toshiba paid them to do this so that the movie could be released for Holiday Season 2009 in DVD2 format only.

The summer months are better for a film like Harry Potter. It makes better sense.

Pretty good theory. I could see this being true. I'm pretty dispointed though. Was rather liking their 18 month schedule

loll if warners was looking for cash flow increases releasing this in line with Transformers 2 was probably not the smartest of ideas, however this was probably one of the best books in the series so I hope it gets th treatment it deserves, unlike Pheonix
