as far as audio & video on Blu-ray's what is the best. for audio is it Dolby TrueHD, or DTS-HD Master Audio. and for video is it MPEG-2, VC-1, or AVC. for me I say audio is DTS-HD Master Audio and video I dont know maybe AVC. what do you think?
P.S. is THX working on a new audio format for Blu-ray's? any Blu-ray's with THX? |

LMAO!!! Enjoying the show boys?
I believe the OP is looking for opinions, not facts. My opinion is that DTS HD MA and LPCM are the best audio codecs. They always sound fuller and more realistic to my ears. Technically though, the TrueHD track is SUPPOSED to sound identical to them...but it doesn't. As for video, MPEG-2 can look great, but it doesn't even come close to the AVC and VC-1 codecs at high bitrates. VC-1 can look just as good as AVC given the proper bitrate treatment. Look at some of New Line's titles to see how good VC-1 can look. Last edited by Petra_Kalbrain; 08-19-2008 at 07:07 PM. |
