Default No Treat? (Trick r' Treat that is)

Looks like the movie Trick r' Treat has been dumped by WB. Could possibly means it sucks so bad they don't want to have anything to do with it. They were supposed to release it back in October 07 then it got delayed until earlier this year then October this year, and now....Shock till you drop

I was looking forward to this. There were trailers all over the place, even on the 300 DVD.

Could it possibly be that bad?

Some other studio will pick it up and release it direct to video in early October.

Most likely, Warner's own new direct-to-DVD-loser "Warner Premiere" label, assuming "Lost Boys II: the Tribe" doesn't get all the studio backing first.

(Horror anthology? Oh, puh and leeze...What are we, USA Network??)

Looks like Fangoria will be hosting a free showing on Monday,Oct 13th At New York City's Pioneer Theater. Details are at the website. I don't think this will get a wide release and will probably go direct to video after this. I am still wondering why WB are dragging their feet over this one. They still hold the distribution rights and have not completely dumped the movie yet.

This may turn out how Rob Zombie's "House of 1000 corpses" turned out. It was Universal for a very long time but then Uni didn't want to have anything to do with it because of it's content. A couple of years went by and after a while it ended up at Lion's Gate. It then did well enough to make a sequel.

If you watch the trailer for this "Trick r' Treat" movie, it actually doesn't look too bad. It has potential to go either way for this kind of film. Could be the worst film ever made or could be a pretty entertaining B movie. Either way, it's not going to be as bad as an Uwe Boll directed piece of S#%t. It seems that today, studios are using theatrical releases for more of a huge commercial for the home video market. Since that is where they make their real money now. I know some friends of mine refuse to see any movie, even "The Dark Knight," in theatres. They see no reason to pay that much for a movie while it's in theatres. Warner MAY have a small release for theatres when halloween comes around then immediately release it on home video.

I just hope this film is released soon. It looks interesting enough for me. I like these cheesy bloody movies. Well, as long as this film get an R rating.

Here's the trailer in quicktime for those of you who haven't seen it yet:

I put it on my netflix list when I saw the trailer, I was wondering what happened. I'm still hoping to see it. Wasn't there one big name actress in it?
