I'm surprise there is no thread based on this movie and it's BD.

What do you think of the PQ on this BD?

My copy has 2 discs, the movie on one and a collection of short films on the second disc.

The database only lists a single disc version of this by the way..
There is a 2 disc version but not in this database..

What's on the 2nd disc? I'm guessing it's a DVD, the one that's included on the "1.5" DVD edition with the extra short films? Also, how are those? I have not seen them.

It looks like the new one comes out in July.

Based on The Machine Girl which had a horrible looking Blu-Ray, but the re-release made a HUGE difference, I'm hoping this is the same.

Unfortunately, no telling until it comes out.. and with most Media Blasters stuff, it tends to be "whenever they get around to it".. Lots of these titles go well beyond release date before they actually ship, and tend to be small batches that rarely re-stock

Is there a preorder for the new release? I only see listings for the old one. Never seen this one but hear it's pretty fun.

So glad to see this is being re-released! Had no idea Machine Girl also got a new edition - but wow, MG is expensive...

I wonder what, if anything, "Lethal Force Edition" is supposed to mean here. Do we get some cool new stuff? Or is it a fancy way to try and sell a re-release?

Either way I'm in. This and The Machine Girl are two of my favorite movies and I never bought the old BD.

I bought the older BD earlier this year so would only pick the new BD up if it has interesting new special features.

Most likely just a re-release - maybe some extra content added. They like to re-release these titles multiple times (I must own about 5 copies of Machine Girl!); for MG, they released it as Machine Girl, Machine Girl Remix, Machine Girl: Jacked! Definitive Decade One edition (Along with other versions like the steelbook 3-disc set). For Tokyo Gore Police, they've already done TGP, TGP 1.5 and now this version.

They didn't release any specs in the advertisement which is a bit odd. At least with Machine Girl, they touted the new HD upgrade.

Giving it a shot and hoping it's better than the last one!

It's a day before the new blu is supposed to be released and Amazon still has no ship date.

This is very much expected by Tokyo shock/media blasters.

Release dates come and go, sometimes the product actually appears,.sometimes it doesn't. It's almost guaranteed to never be on release date though.

50/50 chances it will ship by end of month,.but we still have no idea what the edition even is.
