Are these low end speakers??? - Blu-ray Forum

i really don't know to much about speakers but this is in my price range right now. However I don't want to waste my money on crap. So are these worth it or should I save a little more and get a bit better. I have pretty much decided on polk. Thanks

or should i go with these?? (i want black but the cherry ones are half the price)

I would get the better of the two definatly. Some one on here also mentioned tweeter problems with the R50's as well, so keep that in mind.

i have the RTiA5's and love them. def save up and get them instead. dont forget to check out ebay too. i bought 2 brands new ones there for $400 (black color). Also check out my "live.com 25% off" thread in the hot deals section to save more money. if you have any ques dont hesitate to ask.

I bought a set of Monitor 60 Floor standing speakers from POlk Audio's eBay store and got a full warranty and they were half thr price .

do you have a link to that joker, also I'm in Canada so do you know if they ship to Canada. That's the problem I'm having right now, everything in Canada is like more than twice as much and amazon.com won't ship them here.

I personally have the r-50 in cherry and I think they do just fine. I picked mine up a frys.com when they were on sale for 59.99 each. I paid 167 for two r50s that were delivered in 3 days. I love mine. Sure you can find higher end equipment but I couldnt pass these up. By the way no tweeter problems what so ever.

casual killer are those paradigm's good?? I don't know much about speakers. will I have a hard time getting a centre channel , woffer and surrounds to match it up with??

Paradigm Monitor 3 V2 home theater bookshelf speakers are these any good or too old. My dad has them and never used them. Currently i have a 5.1 speaker set up that has been thrown together. I have bose 301 rears and sony towers for from and a sony sub and infinity center channel. am i better off running the paradigm instead. I have never heard these but i know they are dated. any help would be great. thanks
