MADDEN '08 Question

Okay a little history here.

In the entire history of Video Game Football I've played a grand total of four titles. (and that includes yearly editions in that number)

So while there's been 20 years of Madden, and however many editions of Blitz, and NFL2k whatever, and Tecmo and all that, I've played four titles.

Tecmo Football
Super Tecmo Bowl
NFL Blitz
Madden '05

I'm not familiar with the various games.

Now that that's out of the way.

I popped in Madden '08 (NOT '09) last night and couldn't figure out how to play it.

It takes me to a screen where I'm in this room. There's two giant screens on the wall portraying football action and in the middle is a super bowl trophy case of sorts.

You click one screen and it takes you closer underneath the screen to where there's all these trophys that I suppose you have to earn credits for.

You click the other screen and it takes you underneath THAT screen to where there's an empty trophy case.

You click the rings and it takes you close in to see the rings.

There's nothing else I can do. I can't figure out how to get to the menu where I can play the franchise league or whatever it's called, or the Two Minute Drill or any of that.

What am I missing?

It would be just like me to have it be that simple. lol
