Default Quick DUALSHOCK question

Hey I had a quick question for the DUALSHOCK/SIXAXIS controller. Is there a way to connect it to another PS3 without plugging it into the console through the USB? I don't have the cable here and really want to play 2 player Madden

Thanks

I think you have to use the cable, but you don't have to use a specific cable. You can just use a generic USB to miniUSB cable and that will work fine.

You can't, you need to buy a battery pack and charger.

Just push the totally unheard of "Reset" button on the back of the controller. Might work... can't promise anything though. It's a very small hole on the bottom of the controller. Near the top... You'll find it im sure. I'm clueless of what it does, so if your house explodes or something, don't blame me.

The ps button is the sync button, there are wireless... but they will eventually run out of juice, you can probably play it for the day or so and charge them at a later time.

Unless you ran them out of juice then well no sync button could save you then.

If he is using a controller from another system it needs to be synched by attaching the cable first .. that's to avoid connecting to the wrong system when multiple systems are nearby.

I guess that leads the other usb for temporary sync them pull and use for the 1st one.

I personally just bought sonys charger cables, they sell them in a set of 2 each 10 foot long and woven usb cable, im not sure if woven is the correct term but its not a normal cable, these are the official playstation 3 ones.

Through they are not the normal cable that comes with the ps3..

What does it matter I ganked mine from about a dozen other items around the house that have mini-USB... I have a whole box of them just because they all do the same exact thing, and every product comes with it. My calculator came iwth one.

Anyway, what happened to the OP?

Default yeah

I didn't think you could anyway. I had just brought my controller to a friends when I went out of town and he left his cable at work (uses it to charge his blackberry). Back home now where I have probably 5 of them so its not a big deal.

Thanks for the follow ups though!

Ill be honest my ps3 controllers is the only thing that uses that specific mini usb type, the rest of my stuff is actually smaller.. haha.

Personally my big deal was the ones I bought were really sexy... thats all.
The texture of the cord on my fingers anyway its a different kind of cable and thats all, the feel except my cats are attracted to them more then normal usb cables.
