Looking for new PSN game. - Blu-ray Forum

Hello fellow gamers. I'm Looking to get a new game on the PSN. The new Bionic
Commando looks intresting as does 1942. Any feedback form players that have these games would be great. Any other suggestions are also welcome. Just to let everyone know I have Flow, Superstar Dust HD and Pain allready. Thanks for all the help.

I was gonna say PAIN for mindless fun...but yas already have it.
I'm kinda wishing for PSOne originals like Silent Hill and Resident Evil.

My top reccomendations for PSN games.

1. Eden
2. Everyday Shooter
3. High Velocity Bowling
4. Echochrome
5. Elefunk is pretty good too, but short.

Bionic Commando has a demo. I recommend playing that first. I was all gung ho about getting that game, and the demo turned me off to it.

1942 is cool if you like that type of arcade top down (remake game). It very difficult however.

Calling all cars is probably my favorite psn game, but noone plays it online anymore.

If you like Ratchet and Clank, you are a canidate for Quest for Booty.

PixelJunk Eden is definitely addictive...

I like Blast Factor myself, one of the first ones...but it seems that one doesn't have high praise unfortunately.

Both 1942 and Bionic have demos now...so test them out. I wasn't a big fan of Bionic...1942 is fun, but as everyone says, it's hard.

In addition to the ones you already have, I really like these:

High Velocity Bowling
Tekken
Echochrome
Commando 3 (Wolf of the Battlefield. It's a top down kind of arcade game, very old school but a lot of fun)

Fatal Inertia FX been pretty fun as well. I have Bionic Commando but only briefly tried it so I can't really comment on that one yet.

Edit: Some co-workers are addicted to Pixel Junk Monsters. I have it but haven't really played it yet so I can't say much about that one either.

PixelJunk Monsters is really good- you should give it a shot.

Also, Super Rub a Dub is actually really fun. It's only $3, and worth every cent. Don't let the negative reviews get to you, it's a great value.

I really like Super Stardust HD and it has trophy support with it to boot.

My list:

I have virtually every downloadable title that's worth owning on PSN.

Since you already have flOw, Stardust HD, and PAIN, this is what I'd recommend:

Bionic Commando: Rearmed
This is a VERY faithful recreation of the original Bionic Commando on the NES, only with sharper graphics and cleaner gameplay. Be warned, however, that it is just as difficult as its original source, if not even more so.

Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
I haven't had much time with this yet, but it's been a blast so far. If you've played and enjoyed either the demo or full game of Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, you're going to love this.

PixelJunk Eden
Trippy visuals, trippy music, and really deep and interesting gameplay, PixelJunk Eden gives you a tremendous amount of bang for your $10.

PixelJunk Monsters + Encore
Can't mention PixelJunk without mentioning this Tower Defense-style game. It's fantastic and challenging, though the difficulty is up there for those who aren't used to this sort of real time strategy genre.

Much as I like 1942: Joint Strike personally, I find it hard to recommend to a casual player. Unless you're nostalgic and are a veteran of the 1942/1943 franchise, or are used to bullet hell shmups, this game may not be to your taste, as it's fairly difficult. It's also much more restrictive than Stardust HD's "go-anywhere-shoot-anything" omnidirectional approach.

bionic commando is an awesome game, highly recommend, you get more than your money's worth

Pixeljunk eden/monsters are both really , really fun / simple games but become much harder as you progress

flow is a very fun "game" , very simple .

Stardust HD

i own all of these and love them all

bionic commando and stardust i would say are must buys!!!
