Angry gamers

I have played games since I was a youngin. That said, I've experienced all sorts of anger and hate for a game, be it crappily made or impossible to beat.

Just wondering what some of your angriest moments in games are as well as the craziest thing you did when you were pissed off at a game? Beating a pillow is for amateurs. Anyone break a TV or console?



I can't think of the game I really hated, but tons of games have irked the crap out of me. In the SNES days I knawed on controllers. Since then (I was younger, didn't have all my permanent teeth), I've graduated to more elaborate things, although now it's reached the point of plain angry cursing.

I guess the most outrageous thing I did was take my controller and throw it outside into the woods, spouting obscenities.

yeah, this one is really kind of weird, but i hit myself on the head. its not a pre-metitated thing, it just starts to happen after i struggle for a while.

i guess im naturally trying to inflict pain on myself to try and make me concentrate better, because i know not only will i have to redo everything, but im going to get physically hurt too if i screw up.

i also curse quite a bit.

I've never busted or broken my hardware as I would feel the pinch of the price LOL but I have experienced anger in some games. When something won't work or when you have to start 50 times a part of a game that you can't seem to get past. Some cursing yeah or just plain shutting down the game and doing something else altogether

Oh you mean like Call of Duty 4 and that gehy @$$ Martyrdom perk? yeah, that perk pisses me off more than you can possibly imagine. it usually results in violent outbursts.

The Last Castlevania. The ending for PS2...was never able to beat the last boss and I'm a good gamer, guess not good enough.... errr, that was years ago and it still angers me.

I was cursing at my XBox 360 last night when I was playing Ninja Gaiden 2. For those that haven't played NG, it's a very HARD and I do mean HARD game. I already beat the game on Acoltye and Warrior, but after you beat the game on Warrior, it unlocks the Mentor difficulty, which is hard as he11. I'm really good in this game and I breezed thru Warrior mode, but when I started playing on Mentor, I was getting my azz handed to me. I couldn't even get out of the 1st level. I started cursing at the TV and throwing the remote on the sofa. I even started getting a headache trying to figure out a way to advance.

Ugh Ninja Gaiden is brutal. I borrowed Sigma from a friend a while ago, and I had it only for a few weeks because I got so sick of it. It took me forever to even beat the first boss. I started getting the hang of it eventually but then I just stopped...too many other games were coming out for me to spend getting frustrated at that one.

Some of the more difficult games I just give up & trade it in. Gets to the point where I just wanted to give up on gaming entirely but that next gaming orgasm is just around the corner.

Remember Battletoads for the nes, this game had no continues & you had to master the platforming game aspects to where if you got hit once with certain objects you gave up one life.

Games with puzzles to solve to continue progress in role playing games (rpgs) are most frustrating for me.

There's a part at the beginning of Halo2 on Cairo Station where the Covenant are trying to board. This took me weeks to complete on Legendary difficulty! The rest of the game was challenging, but nothing like this section. I would scream and cuss. My dogs would run out of the room. My wife would ask me, "If the game makes you mad why do you play it?" Which of course would only make me more angry. Both Halo and Halo3 were tough on Legendary, but Halo2 was brutal! Not to mention the crappy ending after you have gone through the whole game! Still makes me mad thinking about it!

what a dumb question, my gf says the exact same thing to me. im just like stfu, i gotta beat it and she is like why and im like cause i gotta, now stfu and ill tend to you when im done, so you better be rooting for me to beat this, not asking me dumb questions, because otherwise im not gonna pay attention to you.

+1. that usually adds to my anger quite a bit. im just like leave alone until i beat it will ya! Why play it? such a dumb ?. its like that commercial where the kids pull the tail of the donkey and the donkey kicks them in the nuts. you know its gonna be brutal but ya gotta do it anyway.

LOL. The only time I use it is on domination. It's good for buying some time when someone tries to take over a spot. LOL

I do hate when people use it on hardcore match. IDIOTS!!! Teamkills are on!

I know! i was playing the crossfire map and i was in the building at the end of the map upstairs. a guy ran up the stair to come kill(i seen him comnig the whole time mind you, and i was already set for the kill.) my dummy teammate is gonna throw a flash bang upstairs, blind me, and then guy killed me like a fish in a barrel. IDIOT!!!!
