Mercenaries 2 goes mutli-platform - Blu-ray Forum

Certainly not nice news to hear, this would have been a great exclusive to have after all the other titles that went multi-format, i guess it's not gonna be like that for this one but we are going to get an exclusive spiderman 3, which lets be honest isn't that great a trade off when we are losing a better title

Mercenaries 2 was never an exclusive to the ps3... the sites that reported this are innaccurate, Mercenaries 1 was multi-platform (Xbox, ps2 etc. etc.) so its no surprise that Mercenaries 2 is multi-platform.

The exclusives on Spiderman 3 however look super cool... and make me very sad for those who only have access to the 360 version.

I have looked over the news and it seems it was originally down as an exclusive for the PS3 but has only recently been announced for the 360 and PC

I dont think anyone actually BELIEVED that Mercs 2 was a PS3 exclusive. There were photos of the game running with xbox 360 controllers connected, the game running on pc's, etc etc. The PS3 is the LEAD platform for the game tho, so it will look and play the best out of all the versions.

yeah. this title was never an exclusive. they chose not to announce the 360, pc, or ps2 versions until now. If you read the latest interview on ign (today), they said that they were always planning on making a 360 version and the 360 version is at the same point in development as the ps3 version.

Hey, I'm just happy they're making a sequel. That game was one of my favorites on X-Box. So much you can do in that game, in different ways... very very cool game.

It's not the fact that this was an exclusive or not.. The problem now is it's a cross-GENERATION title.. Isn't that going to bring down the production on each system ALOT?

Is the PS2 game going to be completely different? Merc 1 was one of my favorite PS2 games, and I REALLY don't want to see Merc 2 turn out shitty on PS3. Have they been developing it for just PS3 so far? Is this just gonna turn into a shitty port?

Hey, I wanna see a great sequel to Sniper Elite too, damn it! That'd be a hot title for PS3.
