Post Who has the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Blu-ray?

I've seen a few episodes of the TV series of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but not the movie. If anyone has the movie on Blu-ray, could you tell me if its worth buying or renting, in terms of PQ and AQ? Thanks!

I agree with starscream. I'd give it:
VQ: 5
AQ: 5
Movie: 3 as a movie in cinemas, 4.5 as an introductionn to the new televisions series

There's a bucket loud of terrific special features as well, most notably the deleted scenes (which look just as they would if they where in the movie).

Man, I sound like I work for them don't I. Anyway, I would highly recommend it if you like the show at all.

+1. The movie looks and sounds outstanding. Not the greatest story but worth owning if you really like the show.

Yeah, I think that sums it up perfectly. Regardless of your opinion of the movie itself, the blu-ray is outstanding. So, if you're a fan of the show, it's a no-brainer to pick this one up.

I'm looking to eventually get this as well. I've seen a few of the shows on CN and they are for the most part entertaining. They're fun to watch with my kids. Any word on if they plan on releasing the full season 1 on Blu Ray? That would be cool. I know they just recently released the 1st four episodes on DVD that occur after the movie.

The cheese is something that I love about it. Then again, I also loved the chesse in the movies. Though I'd have to say whilst i've seen a few episodes of the tv show, i'm forgoing watching the rest on tv and waiting to pick them up on blu.

You know, I am huge Star Wars fans and I loved it first time I saw it in theater last summer but yeah I tought it was cheesie. But I've now seen it it about 10 times since I got it on BD (the PQ for this BD and for the TV series is just amazing) and the story is growing on me more and more, find it less cheesie then I originaly did.

Can't wait for the full series in BD later this year.

I definitely liked it too, the only knock I had on it was Padme was barely in it. Other than that, nice work Lucas.

I also own it, and couldn't be happier! As far as the story goes, so long as you keep in mind that it's meant for more of the kid audience, you'll be fine. The "movie" was meant to be the first three episodes of the series, so if you like the series, this is a must-own.

I can't wait for the series to come out on Blu! I live in an area where we don't have CN in HD and the video quality on a 60" TV is downright painful to watch...

I liked it.

Could've been a little bit shorter.

Wouldn't get the Steelbook though.

I liked it a lot, but I'm a huge Star Wars fanboy. When are they going to release all the old Star Wars movies on blu?

I have it and love it. But I'm one of the few who enjoyed the prequel trilogy. I just take it for what it is.

Yeah, I enjoyed the prequel trilogy as well. They got better as they went, IMO. Sure, they're not on par with the originals, but I still enjoy them on their own terms. Same with the Clone Wars. It's not the best thing ever, but it's a fun little show. I gotta say though, I actually prefer the episodes that focus on the clone troopers the most. I'm surprised by that, but I really like Rex and Cody and the rest. That episode with the rookie clone troopers was fantastic.

Default Clone Wars

This was actually one of the first blu discs I bought. I enjoyed the movie for what it was, but again I'm a huge fanboy! PQ and AQ blew me away, but like I said this was on of the first blu discs I owned, so I could've had the Holiday Special on Blu and it probably would have blown me away!

BTW. In case anyone wants to get teased for the original SW in hi-def, and you own the Wall-E blu with the Pixar documentary on it. Watch it!!!
